Our Ministries
Our ministries are an important and integral part of our church community. They provide varied ways for our congregation to both enrich our own church life and reach out to the local community and beyond. We have developed a five-fold ministry model to maximize ministry. They are worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, and administration. Through our five-fold ministry strategy, we encourage the celebration (worship) of God. We compel (evangelism) all to Christ. We cultivate (discipleship) spiritual maturity in believers. We connect with and care (fellowship) for one another. We coordinate (administration) the work of God so that effective ministry might take place. Our idea of ministry groups is rooted in our commitment to fostering healthy small group fellowships in our congregation. Right now, in our early stages, small groups exist more informally. We anticipate that in time this will develop and grow into a comprehensive Small Group ministry that will involve all our members in a 'beyond Sunday' Christian experience.
CrossTraining
At CrossTown, growing in Christ is a high priority. Our discipleship mission is to develop fully devoted followers of Christ into passionate servant leaders. Five Core Classes are offered at CrossTown Church to grow balanced believers into activating their ministries. These Core Classes walk believers through five foundational "M"s of discipleship and growth: Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Missions, and Magnify.
Prayer Team
The ministry of prayer is a call to the entire community of believers. The Intercessory Prayer Team leads in this area to provide spiritual undergirding for all the ministries of Crosstown. This team is available to lift up individual and corporate prayer needs throughout the week and presently meets regularly on Sundays from 3 - 4 pm. Throughout critical phases of our church's life and development, the intercessory team leads small group and corporate gatherings of prayer and fasting for spiritual breakthroughs.
C-Town Kids
Developing children into spiritual champions is a focal point at CrossTown. We offer various activities and events for nurturing and equipping our children.
Women's Fellowship
The Women's Fellowship of CrossTown Church is an encouraging and empowering ministry, dedicated to reaching out to all women who desire to better understand the vitality of their destiny, mission and place as a follower of Christ. Women's Fellowships meet monthly on Saturday mornings for times of refreshing where women encourage each other through prayer, testimonies, practical sharing and Bible teaching.
Men's Fellowship
Our Men's Fellowship endeavors to challenge men to grow deeper in relationship with the Lord and one another. The Men's fellowship is also committed to equipping men with a Biblical understanding of areas such as: leadership, commitment, accountability and building the next generation. We encourage all men of the fellowship to participate through meal sharing, worship, prayer, and testimony and Bible teaching.
Youth Fellowship
Crosstown's Youth Fellowship operates on the premise that youth are not only leaders of tomorrow but 'leaders of today'! We value our young people greatly and seek to create an environment where they can experience God, grow strong in their faith and develop as church and civic leaders. Our youth ministry reaches out to 6th to 12th graders in the community and meets weekly. Youth meetings are filled with activities and talks that promote fellowship with each other and a meaningful relationship with God.
