Born in Seoul, South Korea, Yujung grew up listening to gospel music and began playing at her church at age 10. These early experiences nurtured her perseverance and passion for music, shaping her career as both a pianist and educator. She has performed and conducted workshops worldwide, including in Korea, Australia, Brazil, China, Japan, Kenya, Trinidad and Tobago, and the USA. Since 1999, she has been actively involved in music education for young musicians and children. A graduate of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute with a full scholarship, where she studied under Grammy Award-winning pianists Danilo Perez and Alain Mallet, she joined the Berklee College of Music faculty in 2022 and established the CTC Music Program with Crosstown Church in Boston in 2024.
Yujung believes in music’s power to heal, restore, and unite. Influenced by her mother, her motto, “Flowing what you got with people,” reflects her dedication to sharing her experiences and uplifting others through music, breaking barriers, and fostering connections.
